SSC's I34 Interlock is a simple, reliable and cost effective solution to today's federal interlock requirements.  Models just meeting and/or exceeding these requirements are available.  SSC can even offer solutions on vehicles without the electronic "Park Lock" feature.

The generic I34 Interlock prod uct line requires the t ransmission be shifted into Park/Neutral and the Park Brake be set before allowing power to the lift.  When the wheelchair access door opens, a signal is sent back to the I34 interlock module, preventing the transmission from shifting out of gear.  To release the interlock, the lift must be stowed and the wheelchair door closed.

Upgraded versions include an interlock indicator light and a Park Brake drive protector.  The Park Brake drive protector prevents the operator from driving off with the Park Brake set.  In other words, the driver must release the Park Brake in order to shift the transmission into a drive gear..
