DOT-VisionT automatically turns on a vehicle's headlights to promote safety.  Studies show driving with the headlights illuminated during daytime operation can decrease the likelihood of certain type automotive accidents in excess of 10%.

The Standard DOT-VisionT module turns ON a vehicle's headlights 30 seconds after the engine is started and turns them OFF 30 seconds after the engine is turned off.  The module turns the headlights ON full power and is available in 12 and 24 volt units.

The standard unit also comes with two power feeds.  One obviously goes to the vehicles low beams and the ot h er can be utilized as desired.  For instance, the second feed may send power to a video camera on a diesel powered school bu s. 

The 30 second delay gives the glow plu gs time to heat up and the bus started before powering the camera.
Other special order designs include a pedestrian loading light module.  This module controls power to the pedestrian loading lights outside a bus.  The module powers the exterior loading lights instantly, but when the vehicle's door closes, the lights remain ON outside the bus for 15 seconds.  This is beneficial in dusk and night-time operations when visibility outside the bus is diminished.
